Duties
|
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Greet visitors at the front desk in Health Services creating a welcoming environment.
• Answer incoming phone calls and take messages as needed.
• Create new patient files or retrieve returning patient files.
• Understanding and explaining HIPPA Privacy Rights.
• Rooming patients and obtaining vital signs on patients (if qualified)
• Schedule doctor appointments for patients.
• Wipe down patient rooms.
• Potential for student outreach events on behalf of Health Services.
EXPECTATIONS
• to serve as a positive representative of Health Services.
• must be willing and able to talk to a variety of new people from diverse backgrounds
• will treat all patients with courtesy and respect.
• will follow dress code of Health Services.
• must follow proper PPE while performing clinic duties.
• expected to complete biannual training.
• If late or unable to make their shift the student is required to contact the Health Service Director prior to scheduled time.
• expected to maintain a GPA >2.5

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Excellent communication skills
• Current IHCC student
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Desire to work in health care with a diverse patient population.
• Experience with both physical and electronic medical records.
• Experience with answering business phones and scheduling.

Mondays: 8-4
Tuesday: 12-4
Thursday: 8-4
