Working Title Student Assistant
Location Position open within the Centers of Diversity and Equity staffing shifts includes the Cultural Center, Prism Center, and Interfaith Centers.
Duties Assist the DEIJB Office staff with various projects and event preparation including updating the Centers’ cork boards on a monthly basis, lead or staff drop in events, participate in tabling initiatives for awareness and office representation. Keep the Centers organized, clean, stocked, and staffed. Schedule meetings for students and community members with DEIJB staff. Encourage students to make use of the Centers, promote events and resources. Engaging with students around campus. Other duties as assigned
Qualifications MUST be work-study eligible. Serve as a positive representative of Inver Hills Community College and the DEIJB office. Willingness to talk to diverse populations at events and in the Centers—be welcoming and supportive. Ability to work independently and as a team member. Students must maintain a GPA of 2.5. If a student falls below a 2.5 GPA, they must meet with DEIJB staff member to discuss a support plan. Work Schedule Flexible to student schedule and needs but ideally would like someone to be available between the hours of 9am-4pm, Monday-Friday.
