Location Position open within the Cultural Center or PRISM Center
Duties * Assist the DEIJB Office staff with various projects and event preparation * Keep the Cultural Center and/or PRISM Center organized * Schedule meetings for students and community members with DEIJB staff * Encourage students to make use of the space by tabling outside the Cultural Center and/or PRISCM Center. * Engaging with students around campus. * Other duties as assigned Expectations: * MUST be work-study eligible. * Serve as a positive representative of Inver Hills Community College and the DEIJB office * Willingness to talk to diverse populations at events and in the Cultural Center/PRISM Center—be welcoming and supportive. * Ability to work independently and as a team * Students must maintain a GPA of 2.5. If a student falls below a 2.5 GPA, they must meet with DEIJB staff member to discuss a support plan.
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications * Strong communication skills * Willingness to try new things, learn, and get connected to the Inver Hills community * Familiarity with student clubs and engagement opportunities * Familiarity with study skills and willingness to share with learning opportunities with students dropping into the Cultural Center. * Desire to grow and develop leadership skills
Work Schedule Work Schedule: Flexible to student schedule and needs but ideally would like someone to be available between the hours of 9am-4pm, Monday-Friday.
