Summary DARTS is seeking an energetic student that is interested in learning more about non-profit service delivery and making a difference in the lives of older adults. This student would help the Home Services team with a variety of tasks that help DARTS fulfill its mission of creating connections that enrich aging. The Home Services Assistant will be responsible with supporting the home services team through assisting with general administrative functions and working directly with older adult clients. This role will be a mix of office work and time spent in the community directly serving older adults. DARTS is a community-based nonprofit that connects people to services and partnerships that improve their quality of life, help them age well, and enable them to engage in their community. DARTS provides a network of valuable information and resources to people of all ages and fosters the health of the community by helping people remain active and connected to one another.

Working Title DARTS Home Services Assistant
Location DARTS in West St Paul
Duties • Be the voice of DARTS that people hear when they first call our organization by providing coverage for incoming calls. • Accurately direct all calls in a timely fashion to appropriate staff by responding in a friendly, helpful manner and ask effective questions to clarify needs. • Complete house cleaning tasks such as sweeping, dusting, vacuuming, sanitizing bathroom fixtures, wiping down baseboards, mopping, and more. • Maintain appropriate, professional, and respectful relationships with clients. • Maintain client confidentiality. • Ability to complete accurate and timely call logs; and if necessary, collect preliminary Intake information for data entry of demographic and/or relevant information for each caller in ClientTrack. • Work with MS Office Suite tools and assist with tasks like preparing mailings.
Qualifications • Ability to work with confidential information. • Ability to provide quality housekeeping in a timely manner. • Desire to assist and work with older adults. • Punctuality, dependability, and customer service skills.
Work Schedule varied and flexible, up to 20 hours per week
