Summary The Admissions Office is currently taking applications for work-study positions in our department. Student employees in our department work alongside the admissions team to help welcome and assist prospective students and families as they complete the admissions process at the college. We are seeking candidates who are excited by or interested in the field of higher education and are passionate about working with prospective college students.

Duties Answering and making phone calls at the college’s Information Desk at Inver Hills; working with prospective students and families who come to campus to seek more information; assisting the admissions team with scheduling virtual appointments; calling prospective students to provide more information about the college; and managing other admissions’ office tasks and projects as assigned. Training and individual coaching appointments provided for the duration of the position.
Qualifications We are seeking applicants who are self-motivated, reliable, and excited to learn. Successful candidates will be able to take direction and work independently when necessary. Students must have strong customer service skills and be comfortable working with people from diverse backgrounds. A general understanding of campus technology is also essential to the job. Every applicant must have a current FAFSA on file and be eligible for work-study funding. Please consult with our financial aid office to determine eligibility.
Work Schedule The Admissions Office is open 8am-4:30pm Monday through Thursday and 8am-4pm on Fridays; we are looking for students that can work a maximum of 20 hours. The schedule is flexible and centered around the students’ availability.
